Transition to the Present
Initial restorations of the Baroque style are carried out with the
uncovering of the ceiling paintings on the Beletage of the Old Corps de
logis beginning in 1865. The Order Hall and Giants' Building are first
returned to the Baroque style in the 20th century.
For the 300th anniversary (only in German) of the start of building, the restored apartment of Carl Eugen and the Ceramics Museum (Keramikmuseum) in the New Corps de logis, the Baroque Gallery (Old Main Building/Alter Hauptbau), and the Fashion Museum (Modemuseum) (Festin Building/Festinbau) are opened to visitors for the first time in 2004.
